Two objectors exempted from military service
This is just to announce briefly that COs Raz Bar-David Varon and Maya Yechieli Wind were both exempted from military service on medical grounds earlier this week, and are no longer in danger of further imprisonment. Thanks to everyone who acted on their behalf!

CO Raz Bar-David Varon and CO Maya Yechieli Wind, signatories of the 2008 high school seniors refusal letter, were sent to 14 days in military prison. Noam Livneh, an activist of the Courage to Refuse movement, was arrested for his refusal by the military police, and another reservist was imprisoned for 14 days for refusing to take part in the assault on Gaza.
